Opening scene

In class, we learned about different film openings. For example there is Flashbacks, Flash forward, Dreams, etc. The opening scene in a film is the most important part because it has to hook your audience to watch your film. The opening scene also gives some information about what the audience might see during the film. This keeps them curious and wanting to know more about the film.  What is an opening scene? An opening scene is how the movie basically gives information about what’s going to happen during the film. Sometimes the opening scene shows death, lovers coming together or lovers having relationship problems, potential marriage, etc. In opening scenes it also shows the character(s) you should be focusing on the most.  What is an opening scene? Mise-en-scene

Mise-en-scene  In class Ive learn that mise-en-scene is to just putting the look and feel on a film. What I mean by putting the look its just means to what my audience will see such as the costume, makeup, characters, the set, etc. This makes me remember live performances because the audience gets to see the characters and their different costumes, different sets, etc. The feel of a film is just how how the film is developed and the kind of feel it give the audience. Mise-en-scene allows the audience to experience a time or certain place using its two components design and composition.  Design and composition The two components of mise-en-scene is design and composition. Design is a process in which the look of the setting, props, lighting, characters, etc are determined. To make this more simple the design is just...

Introduction In class we learned about genre. Genre is just a category of a film. Examples can be horror, comedy, action, romance, etc. Genre was probably the most easiest to learn because people talk about different genres everyday not only in film but also in books and other things. My personal favorite is horror comedy because while I am get scared and throwing things I also get some laughter out of it. Some types of genres can be mixed together and balanced out.  Examples Horror comedy - Literary, television, and film genre that combines comedy and horror to form horror comedy Horror comedy mixes horror with comedy to balance out the amount of laughter and the amount of thriller. Horror comedy has been around since 1920s. The first horror comedy was "One exiting night". it was directed by  D. W. Griffith. Stereotypes in this genre is in the horror genre but put into a comedic way.  Sci-fi - a form of fiction that deals principally with the impact of actual or im...
